A big part of my green philosophy is checking out the companies I choose to buy products from.
What are their values? Do they work for their employees to have equal wages, working hours and other important conditions?

What we choose to apply to our skin and hair is so much more than a product.

I also love buying products that support women entrepreneurs in different countries.

It feels very wonderful to buy handmade products and to see behind the scenes how, for example, the shea butter I use on my arms is made. It feels incredibly special to buy handmade products.

THE GREEN PHILOSOPHY

We interpret the definition of green beauty in different ways.
Some think its hippie-related. Homemade bicarbonate toothpaste or that you wash your hair with birch leaves and water while others think that green beauty is organic or natural products.

I see all these claims as green beauty but I want to say that it is you who chooses how you want to interpret what green beauty is and above all it is you who chooses how you want to include it in your everyday life.

For me, green beauty means that I choose organic products as much as possible, because then I know that I reduce the risk of being exposed to pesticides, mineral oils and other crap that is found in synthetic cosmetics.

I also choose to use products with as few ingredients as possible, which is one of the reasons why pure plant-based oils are a large part of my skin care, and I would like there to be no synthetic fragrances in my products, but rather a scent should it come from essential oils.

I love making my own skin care products such as sugar scrub with different oils but wouldnt go so far as to make my own toothpaste.

All this is what I call for my green philosophy.

I want to encourage you who are about to start your green skin care journey to eventually set your own values.

At first you are welcome to adopt my values if they are of any help to you but I am very sure you will develop your own eventually but it may take time and let it take time.

And if you have been using green beauty for a while, I am incredibly curious about what values you have and how you interpret what green beauty is!

Have a wonderful day and if you have any questions or feedback, don´ hesitate to contact me!
